Town Wide Holiday Festival | Sunday, December 3rd

The 3rd Annual Town Wide Holiday Festival is Sunday December 3rd in the Town of Schuyler Falls.  This afternoon and evening event includes the holiday tree lighting and lighted fire truck parade at the Town Hall, with activities for all at the Schuyler Falls hamlet and at the River Street Park, Morrisonville. Admission is free and all are welcome.

This is a time for residents, friends, and neighbors to connect during this festive holiday season.  Light refreshments will be available at both venues.  All activities are outdoors and subject to appropriate weather.

About Us

The town of Schuyler Falls was ‘erected’ from the town of Plattsburgh by action of the New York State Senate and Assembly on April 4, 1848. Plattsburgh had been settled and formed as a town in 1785, with the area closest to where the Saranac River meets Lake Champlain being incorporated as a village in 1815 (and as a city in 1902). As town populations grew, ‘daughter’ towns were set off from the original town.

Open Positions | Zoning Board of Appeals

The Town of Schuyler Falls New York has two seats open for the zoning board of appeals. If anyone is interested in filling the position they can inquire at the Town Hall.

Readers Rock

The Town of Schuyler Falls along with The Town of Plattsburgh will be conducting the Readers Rock Program. This program is to help young people learn and love to read. There are four (4) different sessions to the program.

Session #1      July 1st to the 5th            9:00am to 11:30am           Grades 1st – 3rd

Session #2      July 8th to the 12th        9:00am  to 11:30am           Grades 4th – 6th

Session #3      July 2nd                            1:00pm to 300:pm             Pre K and Kindergarten

Session #4      Aug 13th                            1:00pm to 3:00pm            Pre K  and Kindergarten

Art

The Town of Schuyler Falls will be conducting an Art program for youth on August 5th and August 12th from 1pm to 2pm at the East Morrisonville Rec Park.  The program is open to youth ages 8 to 12.  The projects will be either be a (2) day project or 2 (1) day projects.  Please register by July 19th, 2024.

YOUTH KAYAKING July 31, 2024

The Town of Schuyler Falls in conjunction with the Town of Plattsburgh is offering Kayaking on July 31, 2024 for ages 10-18. If you are interested please register before July 22, 2024. For more information please contact Sam Campbell.

THE TOWN OF SCHUYLER FALLS TOWN BOARD WILL HOLD A WORK SESSION ON MARCH 6, 2024 AT 6:00 PM. THE WORK SESSION IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Town Justice Application

The board will take applications for the position of Schuyler Falls, NY Town Justice Position until March 22st 2024.

The candidate that is appointed will attend training in April and once they take the bench they will continue the position until DEC. 31st 2024. The candidate will have to run during the election in November 2024 for the elected position of four years.

Justice position applications can be picked up at the town hall Monday-Thursday 9am to 4pm Until March 22nd 2024. Or you can download the form online and bring it to the Town Hall in person.
